Published by Saideline, so we are one of the tools on this list. We describe every tool from its public website or app store listing, say plainly where we couldn't find a detail, and put our own tool in the same format as the others (details checked October 2026).
Quick answer: There is no single best app, because soccer practice planning apps do different jobs. If you want a session built from a specific request, look at an AI session builder such as Saideline or CoachFrank. If you want a big library and education, look at Coachbetter or The Coaching Manual. If you want visual 3D session design, look at Sport Session Planner. If you mainly need a free youth-team toolkit, look at MOJO. The sections below explain which fits which coach.
Four Questions That Decide Which App Fits
- Do you want to build a session or search for one? Libraries give you hundreds or thousands of drills to combine. AI builders create the session from your request.
- What happens after the plan? Some tools stop at the session. Others handle squads, teams, absences and printouts.
- What do you need besides planning? Education, team chat, scheduling and video are separate jobs that some apps bundle.
- What can you spend, and in which currency? Prices range from free to subscriptions, quoted in euros or dollars.

Which Type Fits Which Coach
- A volunteer coach with no budget: CoachFrank or MOJO.
- A coach who wants education and a deep library: Coachbetter or The Coaching Manual.
- A coach who wants a session built from a specific tactical request, plus teams and a printout: Saideline.
- A coach or club that designs sessions visually: Sport Session Planner.
- A club director: Compare the club offerings of each tool, and test with the whole staff before committing.
Many coaches combine two tools, such as a library for inspiration and an AI builder for the weekly session. For Saideline's plans and prices in detail, see our pricing guide.
