Published by Saideline. We compare easy2coach as fairly as we can, using its public website, its App Store listing and third-party reviews (details checked October 2026).
Quick answer: easy2coach is the better fit if you want a German-built, all-in-one tool for team organization and training planning, with a drill database, your own drawings and a team app. Saideline is the better fit if you want a session built for you from a specific request, with players assigned to game forms and teams built automatically. Saideline costs €9/month or €90/year (incl. VAT) and starts with 3 free sessions without payment details. easy2coach's single-user training plan is cheaper over a year in numbers, so price isn't the deciding factor here.
Both are relevant for coaches in German-speaking countries, and both help plan training. They start from different ideas.
What easy2coach Offers
easy2coach is a soccer team and training platform from Easy2Coach GmbH, founded in 2009. It has a web portal and apps for iOS and Android. The training side, easy2coach Training, lets you build training plans from parts and groups, using public exercises or your own, with drawings and animations. Its single-user Premium plan lists about 1,000 exercises, unlimited favorites, training statistics and PDF printouts. The web portal is available in German, English, Spanish, Italian, French, Chinese, Croatian and Hungarian.
The Team Manager app covers the organizing side: match and training scheduling, RSVPs, a lineup builder, roster and roles, match statistics, team chat, a team cashbox, carpooling and parent logins. The app itself is free to download, and its listing says the standard version is free, with optional Premium upgrades. We found no AI session generation described on its pages.
Prices on its own site for the single-user Premium training license are €29 for 3 months, €49 for 6 months, €79 for 12 months or €149 for 24 months, invoiced at the start of each term. The app listing shows separate Premium options (from $8.99 for one month or $69 for 12 months) and TEAM Premium options. Exercise counts in third-party reviews vary widely, so we use the number from its own plan page.
What Saideline Does Differently
Saideline doesn't start from a database. You describe what you want to train as a phase of play, a principle, a player count, a space and your constraints, and it matches game forms precisely to that request. Each game form shows a Perfect Match, Close Match or Modified badge. The app is available in German and English, and you can write your prompt in any language.
Then it handles what follows the plan. With the squad feature, you rank your players once, and the AI assigns whoever is present to the game forms and builds the teams. Parallel groups deal with uneven headcounts. You can reorder game forms by drag and drop and export a printable two-page plan. Sessions cover U8 to U19.

Where easy2coach Wins
It covers a lot of ground in one tool. If you also need scheduling, RSVPs, a lineup builder, a team cashbox and parent access, easy2coach has them, and it runs as an app on your phone. Its web portal speaks eight languages, it has been around since 2009, and its single-user training plan is priced in euros at a level comparable to Saideline's annual plan. If you like building and drawing your own exercises, you can do that too.
Where Saideline Wins
If your bottleneck is time, assembling a training plan from a database still takes effort. Saideline builds the session around your request, shows how well each game form fits, and takes the plan to the teams, uneven squads and a printout. You can start with 3 free sessions and decide later whether you want monthly or yearly billing.
Which One Should You Use?
Choose easy2coach if you want one tool for team organization and training planning, with your own drawings. Choose Saideline if you want the session built for you, with teams included. Many coaches use a team app for scheduling and an AI planner for the session itself.
